Education

     Armin Shmilovici, Ph.D. Senior Lecturer

Short Biography: I received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical and electronics engineering and the Ph.D. degree in industrial engineering from Tel-Aviv University, Tel-Aviv, Israel, in 1986, 1991, 1997, respectively. I had three visiting positions. In 1998, I joined the faculty of Ben-Gurion University, Beer-Sheva, Israel, and currently I am with the faculty of the Department of Information Systems Engineering.

My current research interests are in the analysis and modeling of complex systems (such as the flow of information in business processes) with “soft computing” methods, such as fuzzy expert systems, data mining, and intelligent agents. I published more than 50 articles in journals and international conference proceedings.
